Brigitte

Brigitte is a sweet American Short Hair. She loves to get into you face for affection. This energetic, playful cat likes to explore her surroundings with all the enthusiasm she can muster. She gets along great with cats and humans.

This British Short Hair is good with children, and grown ups a like. She is so sensitive she will come to comfort you when you are crying. Her favorite food is tuna, but she isn't picky. She would do best as an only cat.

Sylvie

Sylvie is an energetic, sweet German Shepherd looking for someone to give her a stable, loving home. She would like an active lifestyle that will give her lots of exercise. She would do best as an only dog, but in return will give more love than a whole pack.

Buddy

Buddy is a full grown Mastiff/Labrador Retriever mix. He is a staff favorite because of his sweet eyes and loving personality. He needs an active lifestyle filled with exercise, but also likes to cuddle and be loved. He is gentle with small dogs, so if you have a dog at home, bring it in to meet him.

Lost & Found Pets

What to do if you have lost a pet:

File a lost report with the Shelter. You may do this by calling 983-4309 x606 or visiting the Shelter in person.
Canvas your neighborhood. Visit your neighbors and put up posters. (Some copy shops do this for free.)
Put a "Lost Pet" ad in the Santa Fe Scoop, the New Mexican, Craigslist, and the Reporter at no charge.
Visit the Shelter often to see if your animal is here.
Visit the Shelter website "Lost Pets" section below. The website is updated several times each day.

Please note: the Shelter receives 10-20 animals each day and 25-30 lost reports each month. It is impossible for our staff to compare each lost report with each incoming animal. It is VERY important that you regularly visit the Shelter and check our website while your pet is missing.

Lost pets are not available for adoption, nor do we have adoption information available for them.
